Visual-Escapes  > Petroglyphs > Abo Rock Art
A special petroglyph hike was pre-arranged & our small group was treated to a seldom visited area in the park with our ranger/guide Bob. The photos are simply a log of the petroglyphs we saw. Light angle may play an important role in viewing the symbols. Look at the last 4 photos, the very last one was how the "head" was seen in shadow. The 3 prior photos (of the cliff and cropped closeups) is how the symbol appeared when there was light touching the face of the rock. I can imagine a whole figure that goes with the head. Can you see it? (Use the bird symbol to orient the photos) Was it intended?
