Photos from our High Sierra backpacking/scrambling/climbing trip in early September 2013. We entered via the Sabrina Lake trail, Echo Lake Basin and the Haeckel/Wallace Col. We exited via the Royce Lakes, Royce Pass, Italy Pass Trail and Pine Creek Trail.

    Our last close up view of Humphreys as we head north towards Steelhead Pass.
    Our route along benches above and east of Desolation and Forsaken Lakes towards Steelhead Pass. We took the grassy ramp to the plateau and then left over the pass just out of the photo.
    Clear going across the broad plateau. Steelhead Pass is the low spot just below the peaks on the horizon. Those peaks are Merriam, Royce and Feather.
