2013 Sierra High Route

Photos from our High Sierra backpacking/scrambling/climbing trip in early September 2013. We entered via the Sabrina Lake trail, Echo Lake Basin and the Haeckel/Wallace Col. We exited via the Royce Lakes, Royce Pass, Italy Pass Trail and Pine Creek Trail.

  • Closest rounded peak is 12245 west of Sapphire Lake, the next more triangular peak is 12342 and the further peak on the right is the Hermit which we climbed the next day.

  • This buck and a couple of others were bedded down in the small conifers when we scared them up as we descended to Sapphire Lake.
